Instructions for assembling your Ducati Motorbike Custom Mount Kit with matching horse flute reskin for Content Patcher and Custom Mounts:
If any words used by these instructions confuse or are unknown to you, please search them in Wiktionary (wiktionary.org).
1. Download and install the latest version of SMAPI (smapi.io), following its instructions.
2. Download and install the latest version of Content Patcher (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1915) per its instructions.
3. Download and install the latest version of Custom Mounts (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/35810) per its instructions.
4. Create a new folder for staging your Horse to Ducati Conversion Kit components in whatever location makes sense to you, and name it in a way that makes sense to you.
5. Download CK's Ducati Motorbike (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2918) and the classic version of Tractor Engine Sounds (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5781); Do Not install them or download and install any of Tractor Engine Sounds' listed requirements (unless you want the Tractor Mod), especially Custom Music as it is depreciated and no longer functions (which is also the case for PYTK). The Horse to Ducati Motorbike Conversion Kit does not require Custom Music because it uses both Content Patcher's audio functions, which were added in 2024, as well as those of Custom Mounts, instead.
6. Place the three zipped mod folders (Ducati Motorbike Custom Mount Kit, CK's Ducati Motorbike, and Tractor Engine Sounds) into your new staging folder, then unzip all three mods inside the staging folder. I personally recommend that you move the main mod folders from their extraction folders to the main part of the staging folder so you do not have to deal with an additional and unnecessary layer of folder nesting, and then delete the empty extraction folders.
7. Locate the following files in the four unzipped mod folders:
"BikeShed.png", "DucatiEdits.png", "Flute.png", and "Helmets.png" in the "assets" folder of "[CP] Ducati Motorbike Custom Mount Kit".
"content.json", "instructions.txt", and "manifest.json" in the main folder of "[CP] Ducati Motorbike Custom Mount Kit".
"horse.png" in the "horseassets" folder of "[CP] CK's Ducati Motorbike".
"tractor.wav" in the main folder of "[CM] Tractor Sounds".
If any of these files are missing, delete all files & folders associated with their respective mod(s) and repeat steps 5 through 7 for those mod(s).
Please note that "DucatiEdits.png" is an overlay for Ck's Ducati Motorbike sprite sheet ("horse.png") that adds single-pixel highlights to the motorbike's wheels in order to illustrate their rotation, and looks completely blank when seen as an icon.
8. Move "horse.png" and "tractor.wav" from their original locations (listed in step 7) to the "assets" folder inside the "[CP] Horse to Ducati Motorbike Conversion Kit" folder.
9. Review the contents of the "[CP] Horse to Ducati Motorbike Conversion Kit" folder and double check that they are as follows: "instructions.txt", "content.json", "manifest.json", and the "assets" folder; the "assets" folder should contain "BikeShed.png", "DucatiEdits.png", "DucatiFlute.png", "horse.png" and "tractor.wav". If any are missing, re-do steps 7 through 9 for them.
10. Once your "[CP] Horse to Ducati Motorbike Conversion Kit" folder contents match the list in step 9, Congratulations! You have successfully assembled your horse conversion kit! It is finally time to move the "[CP] Horse to Ducati Motorbike Conversion Kit" folder into your SDV "Mods" folder. Once that has been done, the staging folder and its contents will no longer be needed and you may safely delete them.
